Note: The rescheduled Winter Gathering will be at 191 Haines Lane, Westkill, NY at 1pm, on March 23, 2019. This address is a Catskill mountain chalet and is most likely a one time offer to the chapter. Not only is this chalet a must-see, but the guest speakers from DEC with their Drone Demonstration, should not be missed. The wooded location of the chalet should give an accurate idea what a drone might do for your woodlot.

We will be starting our Winter Gathering a little earlier this year, to allow more time for our Guest Speaker's Outdoor Drone Demonstration, and our Silent Auction. We also felt it would possibly give us a better turnout to have it earlier in the day.

There will be a brief meeting after the event is over, where we will vote on the Elected Officers for the next term, so be sure to plan on staying for that.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share, be it main course or dessert.

Our guest speaker this year will be Drone expert, Scott McDonnell, from the DEC. He will speak on Drones and their benefits to woodland owners. DEC Drone Pilot, Gary McPherson, will give an outdoor demonstration of the Drones.

Laura is planning on having another Silent Auction, so attendees are also encouraged to bring a new or hand crafted item, gift certificate, baked goods, slightly used item, or store donation, to be auctioned. Please contact her ahead of time, to let her know what you are donating, to have the bid sheets prepared.

Let's make this one as successful as our first one, or even better!

As always, there will be beautiful centerpieces, hand crafted by Jason and Laura, for some lucky winners to take home.
